Cinderella Was Here

I spotted this on my way home late one Saturday evening in Green Park tube station, a single red shoe left on the floor near the escalators, and Cinderella immediately came to mind. I had to be quick to take the photograph before someone moved it or walked into the frame, which, on the London Underground, made the moment even more unexpected. The empty space, the bright colour and the ordinary setting turned it into a scene worth capturing.
