Cutting Through Blue

The sky was completely clear, nothing but one flat stretch of blue, when this seagull crossed straight through the frame. The wings were fully open for just a second, perfectly shaped against the empty sky, and the moment felt sharp and clean, as if the bird had sliced a line through the colour before disappearing again.
