One Soul

Photograph from Nice's annual memorial for the 2016 Bastille Day attack. One of 86 spotlights, each representing a victim, projects upward through light rain. The circular aperture frames the beam against darkness, and with the light drizzle of rain, I saw the "spirit rise to the heavens".
