Three Colours and a Moon

The sky was split into layers of colour that evening, deep blue above, a band of warm light on the horizon, and the darker sea holding the line between them. The small crescent moon sitting off to one side made the whole scene feel even more still, as if everything had paused for a moment before night took over.
